I am just going to post a snippet of a book I started to write for fun. I don't have a million watchers, infact currently, I have about 30. So, I don't expect any comments on this. x3 Here goes nothing......

"Better hurry up!"Jake shouted, bending over to untie the speed boat from the metal cleat holding it to the dock. I was surprised he let me on. Most people would have been denied access at this point. He was a care free kind of guy, but not when it came to Saturday Nighttime Boating. Then, he was strict until we got to the cove.
As he lifted me into the boat, I noticed a look in his eyes. It was a warm, thoughtful type of gaze, one I didn't mind looking into. As everyone settled in, he started each engine, which turned on with a roar, then receded into the bubbling sound it always made when we started to get going. As we picked up speed, the bow of the boat raised high into the air, water spraying anyone who sat near the sides.
"Fifty! We're going fifty!" Jake shouted, a smile lacing his face. It was a fast boat and by a quick glance around, you could see people holding in for dear life and making sure their sunglasses didn't come off at the same time. I never really understood why people wore their sunglasses at night, but they did.
As we got closer to the cove, Jake pulled me onto his lap despite a few screams of protest from me. Handing over the wheel, I pulled us into a cove. It was a nice one too. Not too shallow for the house boats following us, but far enough back from the rest of the lake that everyone's wake wouldn't disturb us when they headed back to the dock.
The area was littered with driftwood but at least it was sandy, which was even better for the boats. The out skirts of the cove were lined with trees and bushes thick enough to conceal us from spectators.
As everyone started to antsy as the bow snuck up on the bank, some started to strip their shirts so they could jump in. As a few splashes and shouts of joy rung out through the air, then a smile started to appear on my face.
The moon was a full one and a lot of people were watching it intensely. It reminded me of werewolves. Everyone had a book about them and watched plenty of movies and tv shows about them.
The thought of them made me laugh, then a few people looked at me weird because I was the only one laughing at the moon. Looking away a little, my gaze settled on the water. It was black as night now, the moon shining on it brightly. It was a nice contrast, something easy on the eyes.
Feeling a nudge to my left shoulder, I looked up at my good friend Bentley. She handed me a beer with a smile, sitting down on the boat with me.
"Hey." She said, taking a sip of her own bottle, pointing to the mountain tops.
"The snow is still there." Bentley continued, leaning back a tad.
"I am surprised he let me on. I was pretty late you know. " I commented.
"I think he likes you. "
I laughed, entertained by the thought of it.
It could be true, but I wasn't one to make assumptions about love. Ever. It just wasn't me.
Just then, Jake sat down with us.
"Speak of the devil," I said, a smile gracing my face.
"And he shall appear." Jake finished, grinding broadly.
"I suspect you were taking about me." He continued, looking at both Bentley and I.
"She said she has a huge crush on you!" Bentley suddenly shouted, starting the laugh.
Jake then glanced at me, smirking.
"Is that so?" He asked jokingly.
"Bentley!" I yelled, embarrassed but in a playful mad sort of tone. Then, upon hearing Jake, I blushed a little.
"May be.... " My voice trailed off as I tried to turn their attention onto something else.
"The water is pretty clear tonight, don't y-" I was cut off as Jake shook his head with a short chuckle.
"No, no, no. Don't even try to change the subject. Fess up. Come on..." Jake coaxed, smiling lightly as he looked me in eyes as words left his mouth.
"Well.... " I started. Bentley and jake now both motioning for me to continue.
"I will tell you after a few more beers." My last words only made each of their grins grow larger.
I was in for it now.....
